SUBJECT: Hygiene Drive Challenge

In collaboration with community partners VFW Post 5206 is holding a Hygiene Drive. All items will be donated to Henderson County Schools to help students in need. Having the proper tools for personal hygiene is something that not all students have access to. Many health related personnel are advocates for the inclusion of hygiene content in existing programs to prevent disease, promote health, and reduce future health problems.
We are asking for your support in providing hygiene items (soaps and/or body wash , toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant for both male or female as well as feminine hygiene items) to be donated to Henderson County High schools for students in need.
Your participation as a sponsor, cash donation or donation of goods, will help ensure that any student in need of hygiene products in Henderson County schools will be taken of. We anticipate reaching a multitude of students through this event.
The VFW is initiating this drive by donating $500 for this purpose and challenges all to do what they can to help our community meet this challenge. Our goal is to have items on hand for the start of the 2018-2019 school year at each H.S with excess items flowing down to the Middle Schools. The Drive will continue through August 31.
Don’t miss this opportunity to support student success in our community and help all children reach their full potential. We look forward to your participation in the VFW Post 5206 Hygiene drive.
Additionally, you may volunteer your business to be a Hygiene Drive Collection Point.
To be super successful, points around Henderson County are necessary.
Further information may be obtained by contacting me at 828 577-6399. Of course donations can be made directly at the VFW during normal business hours at the Canteen.

Community First, Sincerely,
